Mobile Cart with Surface Pro 2

It increase the availability and flexibility of access to computers, the Computer Lab staff purchase, configured, and now will deploy a mobile cart with 40 Surface Pro 2 machines.

The very first test of "rolling-thunder" was done in my math course today.  After a brief intro to the hardware, students were able to quickly access campus Wifi, login to their profile, and access online resources with Chrome.  Here's my agenda...

1) Get a Surface Pro 2 from cart

2) Log-in to SP2 (WSCC UN and PW)

3) Open CHROME (web browser)

4) Go to www.mymathlab.com

4a) Create MyMathLab account

- Course ID = james89342

- Student Access Code

4) Go to Canvas Course Page

5) Click Homework Link

6) Complete Assignment 7.1 and 7.2

Michigan Canvas Meetup

Headed across the state today to meet with Montcalm community college in Kirtland community college to discuss Canvas. Meeting is mostly about technology implementation, rules and policies. Not ready to discuss course shell best practices at this point. Mostly IT and support staff invited, not many faculty.
